SUMMARY

Avel eCare, one of the nation’s most innovative telemedicine organizations, is seeking a Dermatologist to join our Specialty Clinic team as a PRN / 1099 Independent Contractor. This position delivers specialty care via telemedicine to underserved populations in correctional facilities. Physicians in this role will provide outpatient consultations, with schedules provided approximately two weeks in advance to ensure predictability and flexibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide remote outpatient consults through secure telemedicine platforms.
• Review patient information and develop appropriate care recommendations.
• Collaborate with on-site clinical teams to coordinate next steps in care.
• Document visits clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Follow Avel’s established telehealth workflows to ensure smooth and professional consults.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• MD or DO degree required.
• A minimum of 1 year practice experience in Dermatology.
• Telemedicine experience preferred but not required.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS

• Active DEA certification.
• Board Certification/Board Eligible in Dermatology.
• At least one unrestricted state license (any state in the U.S.).
